Modern home design

Home buyers, especially those who are in the market for a home for the first time, may be overwhelmed with choices and property types when they first look at listings. After all, it is still a buyer’s market out there, with more options for buyers who are in search of their dream homes. Yet while resales, or homes that have been previously lived in, may be more abundant in certain areas, new home constructions are popping up all over the country in master planned communities. If you are one of the many people who have chosen buying a new home over a resale, you should have plenty of expectations for working with a home builder. Here are the three C’s on what to look for in a new home in a planned community, along with some tips on working with a home builder to develop your ideal domicile:

      1.

Customization:

When you choose a new home over a resale, you’re getting more than simply a new home. You also get the chance to have a say in the planning stages for your house. For example, if you like to cook, you can make requests for a large kitchen with specific appliances, countertops fixtures, and other features. Working with a builder gives you the ability to control what your home will look like before you even move in, and you won’t have to worry about redecorating shortly after the sale as you would with a resale home. 2.

Communication:

If your home is being built before you’re ready to buy, your builder should keep your informed on the progress of the construction every step of the way.

Make sure that you are working with a home builder who sticks to their timetable for

construction. If the home or community planning happens to deviate from schedule, your builder should inform you right away, so you’re not left out in the cold waiting for your home’s construction to finish. 3.

Community:

One of the biggest advantages of choosing to live in a master-planned community is that it is, well, a community. These neighborhoods typically have amenities that everyone can enjoy, such as pools, golf courses, security staff, and more. Areas that have been newly developed often have other families in the area who also look for these features in a house and neighborhood.
