Luxury home designs

Custom-built homes are incredibly popular right now, and while many believe they can’t afford it, it’s just not true. Contractors only charge about 15-20% of the cost of your home, and much of the cost comes from the amenities you choose for your home. That being said, if you’re looking to build your dream home, here are five popular luxuries for custom homes!

Pools

Pools have always been incredibly popular, even among house seekers looking for something already built. So it makes sense that when going over luxury home plans, a pool is a priority. Currently, infinity pools are among the most asked for amenities in homes.

Bathrooms

It sounds strange, but luxury home designs place a lot of emphasis on creating dream bathrooms. Stone bathtubs are hugely popular, as well as a personal at-home spa room. Luxury house builders generally have tons of experience in creating an oasis for the homeowners.

Smart System

As we move into a more digital age, more and more people are asking for fully-wired smart systems. This means that they can control their home’s security, devices, and appliances, all through a smart phone or tablet.

Kitchens

This is where some of the more extravagant luxury amenities come in. People now include things such as custom wine cellars and/or tasting rooms, full outdoor kitchens complete with wood-fire pizza ovens, and vineyards. Other things to note here are that luxury home floor plans are generally open concept to allow for very beautiful indoor kitchens as well. Popular requests for indoor kitchens are granite countertops, breakfast nooks, and stainless steel appliances.

Eco-Friendly

Many luxury homes are now built with eco-friendly materials. In addition, luxury home designs focus on energy-efficient features such as solar panels and/or geothermal heating. Not only is it better for the environment, but it will actually save the homeowners money over time.
